NPM Director Tsung-Huang Hsiao (left) and Deputy Director Pei-Chin Yu (right) jointly recommended the catalogue and collection of essays for the NPM exhibition in the Czech Republic.

The NPM exhibition in the Czech Republic broke free from the curatorial model of displaying imperial collections of various dynasties, featuring instead ten topics connected with modern life via the perspective of commoners, said NPM Director Tsung-Huang Hsiao.

NPM Deputy Director Pei-Chin Yu introduced the exhibition highlights, including the imperial cabinet of curiosities and Along the River During the Qingming Festival, Qing court version, the only national treasure designated by the Ministry of Culture in the exhibition.

“High-Resolution Interactive Artifact Table” in the exhibition enables European audiences to appreciate details in the painting.

Today, the arrival of 131 precious NPM artifacts for display is a dream of twenty years coming true at last, said Director General Michal Lukeš of the National Museum of the Czech Republic in a heartfelt statement.
